Ventajas:

-Placas / soulplate rapido
-Placa Backslide  – Perfecto para backslides  (los he recuperado!!!) – Unities y savannahs.
-Magnífico apoyo en el tobillo
-Comodidad absoluta
-Ligeros
-Gran anti-shock y solidez en caídas
-Buen centro de equilibrio

Desventajas

(ENGLISH REVIEW)

Before joining The Conference I would be a massive fan of constantly trying new products or skates, and would do so until I found the perfect skate for me, and after a few pairs of that model I would begin to start investigating new skates once more.

For me, when changing skates you get a great chance to learn new tricks. Theres no doubt that some skates are better for some tricks, and worse for others. In this way I would perfect new moves before moving onto another pair of skates.

When I joined Deshi it gave me the chance to really focus on one model, and learn to use the skates to the best of my ability. Occasionally I would get the itch to try other skates, and spend some time skating USD Realms, USD Legacy and USD VII skates.

For some reason I never had the urge to skate Xsjados. I once tried a friend’s Xsjados in a park and thought they felt terrible.

However on this last tour we did, we were sent one pair of Xsjados too many. I had me beautiful Deshi Carbons, which I was more than happy with, but realising we were going to be in front of many skaters wishing to see new skates, I decided to give them a try.

The first session I had on the skates I have to say was horrible. The footwraps were too small, allthough I did like the new look that Xsjado went for with the all-new low cut soul, but even without the insoles they were just too small for me. For some reason I kept stamping on my own feet. I got back that night and decided to leave them in my bag for the rest of the tour.

On arrival to Powerslide, I realised I had the perfect opportunity to get some footwraps in my size, so I expanded the skate to its full length (I am a size 42.5/8.5/9.5) and gave them a second chance, later that day in Frankfurt.

Ao Makio

The change was incredible, and I absolutely enjoyed the session. The soulplates were really really fast, negatives were a breeze, and backslide and savannah tricks felt unbeliavable.

On returning to Barcelona I decided to go out and film a little edit on my skates and the session was a lot of fun. In fact this was the most «into» skating I had been for a while, due to injury and problems with the authorities in Barcelona, skating has been tougher lately. The support on my ankles felt great, and the wide soulplates just gave me that extra security on tricks. I also was surprised to see how much I enjoyed looking at them on my feet. I will say that I have wanted a skate with green combat colour elements on it for a long time, too, and this helped. In fact this is what made me want to skate them from the start.

Suddely I had new energy, and I wanted to try new tricks, learn new moves, film edits, shoot photos and go skate at any opportunity. I took the first chance I could to go on tour again, days after arriving from a grueling tour around europe, and had a lot of fun, continuing to skate from morning to night every day.

I have to say, these Xsjado skates have given me a new lease of life, and I’m loving the Xsjado experience.

The Pros and Cons for me are.

Pros

-Fast soulplate

-Perfect backslide plate for backslides (I got them back!!!)

-Perfect backslide plate for unities and savannahs

-Superb ankle support

-Absolute comfort

-Lightweight

-Great anti-shock

-Great center of balance/solid landings

Cons

-I’m concerned about wear and tear on the straps and buckles although so far they seem to be holding up ok.

As you can see, it’s an unbalanced pro and con list, however I really am enjoying skating these at the moment and that can be seen by anyone who skates with me, or the enthusiasm I have when people ask me about these Xsjados!

A personal recommendation from me would be to get a small sized shell up to a size 43EU/9UK/10US but with a footwrap in your own size if you get the chance. The change between shells for people with that size foot in terms of control and performance is really staggering.
