Surfskates or Surfboards have been gaining popularity in recent years due to the ease of use and how fast we get to enjoy them.
Originally conceived as an alternative to surfing when waves were not available, many people, even non-surfers, have fallen in love with this new way of enjoying the small wheel.
Surfskates differ from skateboards, longboards or cruisers mainly because of their axles, especially the front one. Its design allows them to make very tight turns and, by making rhythmic movements, they can go “surfing” on the asphalt without having to put a foot on the ground.
Today there are many models and brands of surfskates and each one has its own characteristics and technology. Here is a selection of what we consider to be the 10 best surfskates on the market today.

The Miller Arcadia Surfskate is ideal for beginners as it has very contained measures of 30 inches but relatively wide, so our feet will fit comfortably. The axles, a fundamental part of a surfskate, rotate very well with a very simple but effective mechanism.

Unlike the beginners, they have better shafts and wheels to make your surfing experience with them incredible.
Surfskate Miller Kirra and Mundaka
The Miller Kirra and Mundaka surfskates are already considered classics. When other models from Miller or other brands are redesigned year after year, these models are still there because of the popular acclaim they receive. And it’s not surprising since, apart from having a very clean design, they go really well. Their axles turn beautifully and very finely and their wheels have a very good feel. Two models that are sure to hit the spot!

Surfskate Globe Costa On Shore-Low
The Australian brand Globe could not be left behind, especially with the surfing tradition in their country. This surfskate has as a curiosity to have both directional axles, unlike the rest of models of other brands that usually have only the front axle directional. This gives it a tremendous turning radius but also means that you have to work hard to master it, at least at first.
Otherwise, it is very nice with very good finishes.
Surfskate landyachtz Surf Life Flippy
This surfskate from the Canadian brand Landyachtz inherits many of the things that have made this brand famous: quality and performance. With a board reminiscent of a certain oldschool style, it has a slightly more hooligan approach than the rest. Seeing its kicktail and shape, it invites us to get into skateparks and do everything with it.
The shaft is a marvel that reacts instantly.

Surfskate Long Island Fish
Long Island is another brand with a long tradition in the longboard scene and, since a few years ago, in the surfskate scene as well. Manufactured in the Basque country by the same company that creates and designs the prestigious Yow surfskates, Long Island has been able to create a niche in the medium range of surfskate, with quality products, very nice design and great performance.
The Long Island Fish surfskate also has the classic fishtail design and features a very reactive and functional shaft.

High-end surfskates
For those of you who have hours on any kind of surfboard and your life is for surfing, the surfskates we suggest below are the best. Quality in abundance with the best of the best. Surfskate Flow Stub
The American brand of surfskates Flow has entered timidly but with force in our market. Its spring axles allow a beastly radius of rotation and with an incomparable smoothness. Although the brand is not yet well known, many surfers are falling in love with its models. A sample is this model, the Stub, which is being one of the best sellers in the high range of surfskates.

Yow Mundaka, Malibu and Waikiki
Yow is the reference brand in the surfskate world today. Thanks to its spring-driven shafts that have not stopped evolving and innovating, it has become the favorite of all surfskate enthusiasts. Its factory and headquarters are located near Donosti, a very surfing area par excellence that has greatly influenced the design of its boards.
The range of Yow surfskates is very wide, but we wanted to give you a small representation of the ones we liked the most.

Surfskates Loaded Carver Bag CX and C7
Loaded is considered the number one brand in the longboard industry. Their complete boards and longboards fly off the shelves as soon as everything arrives and are usually priced at a premium. But that’s the thing about making products that no one else makes and with exquisite quality.
The surprise of the year 2021 was to learn that we were going to receive in very limited quantities their two new creations: the Loaded Carver Bolsa CX and C7 surfskates.
Even though they are the first surfskates of the brand, they have proven to have a spectacular design that makes you enjoy from the very first moment. If we add its fantastic Orangatang 4 President wheels as standard, the experience is already out of this world.

Why buy brand-name surfskates instead of a large surface or unknown brand?
Seen from the outside, a surfskate may look like a very basic device without much technical complication. But the reality is that there is a huge difference between a large surface surfskate compared to a good brand. Each brand has invested and invests many hours in developing their own axles to allow them to carve as smoothly as possible and, apart from that, to have a high durability so that they continue to do so no matter how much you skate with them. Apart from that, there are very different qualities of wood and processes of pressing of the sheets. Generally , Canadian maple wood is sought for its flexibility and hardness, which in large surfskates is usually of Chinese origin with much lower performance.
Finally, the best tire factories are in the United States, since getting a good urethane compound is very difficult.
So we understand that an inexperienced person might go to a Decathlon, Carrefour or Corte Inglés to buy their first surfskate. But for a little more or even the same price, you can buy a branded one that is sure to give you much more joy.
