Skating and inline skates as a way of life
Inline skates are the type of skate that has become most popular in recent decades. They were originally conceived to replace ice skates in summer, in an attempt to imitate their behaviour off the ice, but they have progressively acquired their own character.
They are generally characterised by having the wheels in a row, and can have from 2 to 5 wheels in a variety of diameters. The boots can be hard ski boots or more flexible trekking boots.
